Letter of intent

It is a contract the subject-matter of which is the initial agreement by both parties (seller and buyer) on concluding a contract in the near future the subject matter of which is to be a certain kind of commitment. In our case it is an apartment. It must be entered into within a contractually stipulated period. Legal parameters of a letter of intent is found in § 1785–1788 of the Civil Code.
